What’s Up?

Apologies for letting 11 months pass since the last post.

Today, however, our personal weather station is now live! Hopefully, our neighbors and visitors will find this information useful.  Too bad there’s no monitor for the flying bugs.

Qs and Airs. . .

. . .aka Tips and Tricks for composers filling out music cue sheets

Maximize your PRO royalties but not insisting your music is a theme throughout the entire duration of a video/film. Theme music (defined as the music heard often at the beginning and ending of a film) pays less money to the writers as it is often repeated often (think series of episodes). Background instrumental cues  pay greater than oft-used theme music.

The music may well be the focus of a particular scene in a film/video, aesthetically speaking, but learning how to make a living by better understanding how PROs compute your earnings will help create more art. Trustafarian or not, we all need to financially take care of ourselves, so let’s make the most of our opportunities to do so.

If you have any questions about how best to make the most of your art, feel free to connect.
