One of the most enjoyable daily events of sharing a life with someone, in my opinion, is the chatting. . .especially, in our household of mixed languages, the oft misheard phrases. This morning, I described the works of one composer as a delicate balance of harmonic dissonance and consonance. Husby nearly heard what I said correctly. Things aren’t always what they seem.

Continuing on: Thanks to my chats with husby and friends, I’ve come to realize a colleague’s behavior might be, in fact, as a result of a brain disorder, perhaps autism or Asperger’s syndrome. Ahhh, so THAT might explain things. Things aren’t always what they seem.

Finally, re the picture: We had our first frost this morning – after last week’s freak snowstorm, the weather’s now righting itself. Things aren’t always what they seem.

. . .All this is to remind myself to keep the eyes and ears open. And, then to take a moment to process it all before responding.
